100GBASE-ER4 CFP2 Module supports links up to 40 km over standard duplex single-mode fiber (SMF, G.652) terminated with LC optical connectors. 100 Gb Ethernet signals travel over four wavelengths. Multiplexing and demultiplexing of the four wavelengths are managed within the device. The 100GBASE-ER4 CFP2 module meets IEEE 802.3ba requirements for 100GBASE-ER4 performance and also supports DOM at transmit and receive optical signal levels. The module uses a high-quality EML laser transmitter with a nominal wavelength of 1310 nm and a 1310 nm PIN photodiode receiver.
