Fiber Mall Launches 100G QSFP28 ZR4 BIDI

To meet the demand of long-distance transmission in the scenario of scarce fiber resources in edge access networks, FiberMall launches 100G QSFP28 ZR4 BIDI products and will demonstrate 100G 80km single-fiber bi-directional service transmission. This is another industry’s first product of FiberMall after the debut of 100G QSFP28 4WDM-20 BIDI industrial-grade optical module in 2020 which was unanimously recognized by the market.

The 100G QSFP28 ZR4 BIDI product for 100G BIDI adopts 4*25G NRZ solution to achieve single-fiber bidirectional transmission, and the overall design maintains the consistency with the previous 100G 4WDM-20 BIDI product, which can make full use of the existing mature high-end manufacturing process platform to ensure stable product delivery. The 100G ZR4 BIDI optical module adopts a high-performance EML chip at the transmitter side and a high-sensitivity integrated solution at the receiver side, which can achieve 80km link transmission when the system is turned on in KR4 FEC mode, and the power consumption of the module is less than 6.5W.

The 100G QSFP28 ZR4 BIDI product released this time is a re-innovation based on mature architecture products and a deeper exploration of network construction blockage and customer pain points. In the future, FiberMall will continue to optimize and further reduce power consumption to provide customers with better products and more comprehensive solutions.
